Willie James Weathers, Jr., was born to Willie James Weathers Sr and Athie Mingo Weathers, on September 12, 1960.  He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized at Israelite Baptist Church, Ringgold, LA.

Willie James graduated from Ringgold High School in 1979.  Shortly afterwards, he went to Job Corps in San Marcos, TX and later was employed with Todd Shipping Yard, Galveston, TX.  He worked for Todd Shipping Yard for several years and later returned home.  Willie James loved spending time with his family.

On May 22, 2020, Willie James departed this life and entered into eternal rest.  He was preceded in death by his father Willie James Weathers, SR., his son, James Ricardo Roberson, maternal grand-parents CL Mingo, Willie Mae Barkins and Mirrie Mingo, paternal grand-parents; Wesley and Arlena Rasco Weathers.

Willie James is survived by his mother, Athie Mingo  Weathers, two sisters Dorothy "Nise" Weathers, Grand Prairie, TX  and Loria Ann (Mardrick)  Ringgold, LA and one brother Raymond Weathers,  Lafayette, LA his loving aunts Lucy Jones (Hugh) Las Vegas, NV, Shirree  Ward  (Robert), Haughton, Lucille Brown, Sibley, LA,  Gwen and Connie of Los Angeles, CA and  Betty, Baltimore, MD, also, two additional loving aunts, Patsy Mingo, Seattle, WA and Willie Mae Mingo, Doyline, LA;  three uncles, Charles Mingo, Ringgold, LA,  Raymond Weathers, Haughton, LA and Charlie (Annette) Ft. Worth, TX. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
