Obituary

Willie Clyde George was born April 28, 1951 to the late Elmer and Ruby L. Carter George in Shreveport, LA. He was one of seven children born to this union. Edward George and Arthur George preceded him in death.

Willie Clyde attended Emmett Scott and Kashmere High School in Houston, TX. After graduating from high school, he began to work. He was a printer by trade; however, he worked in many capacities in different industries. His work did not end after working regular job hours because he was busy maintaining yards and working on automobiles. When it came to any kind of work outdoors he considered himself a jack of all trades.

Willie Clyde was truly a self-made man, and when his life story is told, it will be said "He did it his way." His smile would light up the room and his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his loving wife, Mary Jean Logan George. They met in 1984 and they united in holy matrimony on May 12, 1988. Together their love was undeniable, and to this union one child, Chassity, was born.

In Willie Clyde's spare time, he enjoyed fishing and watching sports on Sundays, especially during football season. He was one of the Dallas Cowboys biggest fans.

Two brothers, Edward George and Arthur George; and daughter, Chassity, precede him in death.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his devoted wife, Mary Jean; four sisters, Katherine Mitchell, Patricia Jackson, both of Shreveport, LA, Joyce Ann Major and Eloise Hayes, both of Haynesville, LA; a close friend he loved as a brother, Jeffrey Murray of Houston, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
