Reflections of Life

Brother Thomas Lane Page was born to the union of the late Curtis
B. Page, Sr. and Vergie B. Mack Page on September 1, 1955. Even though he was born
to his parents Curtis and Vergie, you could not tell that to his grandparents Sidney
T. and Katie V. Owens Mack, Sr. They took him over and named their firstborn
grandchild Thomas Lane and spoiled him immensely.

Thomas joined Blooming Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Farmerville, LA
at an early age under the leadership of Reverend B. J. Washington of Monroe,
LA. After moving back to Louisiana he became a member of the St. John Missionary
Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Steven Conley. He had a heart
for assisting in any way he could.

Thomas began his education at Eastside High School, but then he moved to Saginaw,
Michigan where he graduated from Buena Vista High School. After graduating
from there he chose to further his education at Saginaw Valley State University. After he
completed his studies, he joined the United States Army becoming Specialist 4.
When Thomas returned from the military, he took up his residence in Houston, TX where he began
his career at Dow Chemical Inc. After he was employed there he was transferred to Bay Town, TX.
While employed there he received numerous promotions and accolades which led to him becoming Chief
Chemical Analyst where he remained for 35 years until he retired. He was not a man of complacency so
he studied real estate during his time at Dow to have something to fall back on as a motivational tool to
remain active.

In Thomas's spare time he loved to hunt and fish; sports that he and his Grand Dad enjoyed dearly. He
also loved to travel domestically and abroad. It was him that would plan the family trips after he would
annually ask the family at Christmas to say where they wanted to go on vacation. As the time approached
he would make the decision on where they would go. When the family was not taking distant trips they
would find themselves on Kemah Island or in Galveston, TX. Because it was such a fun place he would
often ride his bike to Galveston for dinner.
Thomas was an avid outdoorsman who loved ranching. He had a true affection for horses. This develop
when he was a child and his Grandfather bought the children horses. Daddy Sidney bought him a fine and
beautiful horse he named Willie Bird. So after he moved to Crosby, TX he bought, sold and bred horses.
His favorite horse was Gray and they had a very special master animal relationship that was touching to
watch.

There was nothing more special or important to him than his two beautiful daughters Bianca and Lawryn.
They were more important to him than anything to see that his girls were prepared for life. There's
nothing like the bond of a father with his daughters.

Thomas lived a very full life. On the early morning of January 11, 2021, he transitioned from this earthly
house to eternal rest in his heavenly home. Awaiting his arrival, he'll join his parents Curtis and Vergie
Page, his grandparents, and his sister Beverly Lanette Page Fields.

Thomas leaves to cherish his loving memories his two daughters Bianca Jones of Houston, TX, Lawryn
Scott of Shreveport, LA, one Brother Curtis Page, Jr. (Vickie) of Bastrop, LA, two sisters Patsy J. Page of
Shreveport, LA, Marilyn P. Lewis of Farmerville, LA, two aunts Verda M Gentry (Clinton) of Saginaw,
MI, Betty Page of Farmerville, LA, two uncles Sammie C. Mack of Detroit, MI, and Sidney T. Mack, Jr.
of Baton Rouge, LA, one nephew, four nieces, great-nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and
friends.
