Talton Kingsby, Sr. was born in Homer, LA on August 13, 1943 to the late Elton Kingsby, Sr. and the late Orie L. Tate Kingsby.  He was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 30, 2020.  Talton was preceded in death by his brothers, David R. Tate and Elton Kingsby, Jr.; his two sisters, Sarah L. Tate Smith and Ora L. Douglas; his grandson, Tito Kingsby, his son, Tommy L. Burns.

He grew up surrounded by the love of his family in Homer, LA. Talton wasn't affectionately known as "Bap". Talton attended Mayfield School and was employed in the logging and construction industry for several years.  His second love in life was fishing and gardening.  Talton would cultivate his garden from "sun-up to sun-down" to share with family and friends.

Kingsby and Talton (Cynthia) Kingsby all of Shreveport, LA; Jerome (Betty) Boyd, Mesquite, TX, Ruthell (Edward) Durham, Lisbon, LA, James Burns and Willie Burns, Homer, LA, Welcome Cooper, Magnolia, AR and the children of the late Marie Critton(whom he loved dearly);  (18) grandchildren, (47) great-grandchildren and (3) great-great grandchildren; special friend, Walter Taylor, Haynesville, LA; host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
