Shannon 'Sweet" Reddix Mckinney was born on October 19, 1979, to Abron Reddix Sr. and Betty Stromile Reddix of Plain dealing, La. Shannon accepted Christ at the early age of 12 and united with the Mt. Zion Baptist church under the leadership of Pastor C. Byrd Jr. Where she remained a dedicated member until God called her home.

Shannon graduated from Plain Dealing High School in 1998. After high school, she attended Pat Goans beauty school where she received her cosmetology license. Shannon later began working for Whispering Pines healthcare, where worked for many years and received her certified nursing assistant license. She spent the last of her career at Old Brownlee Community Care Center, in Bossier City. La.

Shannon was a loving and caring wife, daughter, sister, and friend. Her heart and kindness touched everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. We thoroughly enjoyed her presence and love for 43 amazing years on earth. Although we would have loved to keep her longer, God needed her. Sweet, you are forever in our hearts.

Shannon was preceded in her death by her grandparents, father Abron Reddix Sr., and her two brothers Lionel Stromile and Urben Stromile. She leaves to cherish her precious memories: Her mother Betty Reddix, her brother Abron Reddix III (Tiffany), and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, family, and friends.
