Geraldine H. Holland was born December 10, 1938, to the late Edmond and Alice H. Hoof in Waldo, AR.
She accepted Christ at an early age at Harrison Chapel Baptist Church and was an active member until her untimely death. She was a member of the Senior Choir, Missionary Society, and Sunday School.
Geraldine attended public school at Charles H. Brown High School and graduated in the Class of 1957.
She met and married the love of her life, Joseph Dale Holland, Sr., and to this union four girls were born, Anita, Rita Lynn, Regina, and Jo Ann. She also gave birth to one son, Terry.
Geraldine was a faithful worker. She was employed with the Webster Parish School Board, where she served as a Janitor at Brown Middle School for many years and retired from Fountain View Nursing Home.
She loved sports, especially Basketball and Football. Her favorite NFL football team was the New Orleans Saints. She also had a love and passion for cooking and singing.
Preceding her in death were: Parents, Edmond and Alice Hoof; brothers, Bobby Tucker, and Ray Hoof; Grandparents, H. Rabb, Sr, and Mae Willie Hale; Maternal Aunts, Earnestine Phillips, Emma Washington, Margie Brown, Lucy Hale, and Angela Hale; Maternal uncles, H. Rabb, Jr, Howard Hale, Willie Hale, Lee A Hale; one grandson, Donald Owens; and many other dear relatives whom she loved.
She leaves to cherish her memory: children, Anita (Kenneth) Greenard, Regina Holland, Terry (Denise) Hoof, all of Cullen, LA, Rita L (Donald) Myers of Springhill, LA, Jo Ann Holland, Shreveport, LA; Sisters, Alice H. Thomas, Kansas City, MO, Clara (Joseph) Bonton, Springhill, LA.; 15 Grandchildren, 24 Great Grandchildren;
a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins; Harrison Chapel Baptist Church Family, and Precious Friends.
