On October 2, 1935, Winslean Denson was born to Willie B. King and Eudia Coleman King of Ringgold, Louisiana.

Winslean received her education in Ringgold, Louisiana. During her high school years, she also picked cotton and assisted her parents in raising her 5 siblings.

In the year 1957 in Los Angeles, California, Winslean met and united in Holy matrimony to Drestus Karl Denson. To this union, 6 boys were born: John, Willie, Tony, Marvin, Robert, and Alvin.

Winslean worked as a caretaker for the elderly in an assisted living home. She devoted many early mornings collecting, selling, and delivering cooper, tin, newspapers, cardboards, etc. to make sure her family was well accommodated.

In 1981, Drestus and Winslean moved to Marshall, Texas to continue their life together. After the passing her of husband, Winslean moved back to Ringgold, Louisiana in a trailer house and in her spare time, she fished in peace until her health failed. A special thanks to Robert Earl Denson and his fiancé, Latrina Tinner, who made sure Winslean's last days were comfortable until her last breath.

On December 9, 2020, Winslean entered sweet peace and eternal rest. She is preceded in death by her parents Willie and Eudia King; her husband, Drestus Denson; 2 siblings Nether King and Winnie Dee King; 2 sons Marvin and John Denson; and a grandchild Jasmyn Denson.
She leaves to cherish her memories 2 brothers: Ether King and Ceaphus King, both of California; 1 sister Glinnie B. Parker of Ringgold, Louisiana; 4 sons Willie Joe Denson, Tony Curtis Denson both of California, Robert Earl Denson (whom remained by her side until death) of Ringgold, Louisiana, and Alvin Dewayne Denson of Amarillo, Texas; 3 daughter-in-laws Darletha Denson, Elizabeth Denson both of California, and Tina Denson of Amarillo, Texas; 35 grandchildren, just to name a few : Donnetta Denson, Marvin Denson Jr., Joe Denson Jr., Sharhonda Denson, Tyequise Denson, LaCresha Denson, Jossetta Denson, Joyce Denson, Marcus Denson, Joel Denson, Shamika Denson, Dacari Denson, Shadeed Denson, John Denson, Patricia Denson, Jeremiah Denson, and many more; 30 plus great grandchildren; 25 plus great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The final chapter is now complete. A life well lived, a race well run and a rest well earned.
