OBITUARY

Dorothy Mae Bradley Abbott was born to the late Deotis and Velma Davis Bradley on January 25, 1931, in Bastrop, Louisiana.  They later moved to Cullen, where she united with the First Baptist Church.  She remained a faithful member.  She was a 1950 graduate of Charles Brown High School.  She married Welton Abbott, Sr.

Dorothy served as Assistant Secretary of the church.  She attended Sunday School, Prayer meetings, Bible Study, Mission and she was a member of the Adult Choir.   Dorothy was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star Macedonia Chapter #82.

Dorothy gained her wings on December 4, 2021, at 5:15 p.m. at Summit Rehabilitation Facility in Taylor, Arkansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one brother; Theo Bradley.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son; George Thomas, Cullen, LA; one daughter,  Elisa Bradley-Jennings of Chicago, IL; one brother Willie Bradley of Cullen, LA; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
