Fontonio Donyell Carter, better known as Yonnie, was born on April 5, 1985. Yonnie departed this life peacefully on May 7, 2026 and was freed from pain. Yonnie leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love and cherished memories.

Fontonio was born to Terry Shine Sr and Sonya Carter of Homer, Louisiana. He was a 2005 graduate of Homer High School. After graduation, Yonnie began his career working in the oilfields and as a truck driver.

Yonnie was truly the life of the party and loved to dance. He had a smile that would brighten up a room. When it came to fashion, he was always stepping out clean head to toe. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at gatherings, where his laughter and conversation left a lasting imprint on all that knew him. Yonnie lived his life and had fun doing so.

Fontoino is preceded in death by his grandparents, James Ivory and Willie and Odessa Shine.
