Ms. Mary Hayes.

Mary Diane Hayes was born to Allean and Curtis Blackmon in Cullen, Louisiana. She graduated from Charles H. Brown High School in Springhill, Louisiana. Mary Diane devoted her life to Christ at an early age and has been a long-time and dedicated member of Holy Temple Church of God In Christ.

Before returning to Louisiana, Mary Diane lived in Houston, Texas where she married Jimmy Ray Hayes, and had one son Marcus Hayes. While living there she worked in childcare. "Diane" as she was affectionately known loved to cook and always made everyone feel welcome when they visited, especially the neighborhood children.

On June 18, 2023, the Heavenly Father saw that Mary Diane was tired and called her home. Mary Diane has kept her faith; her commitment and love of her family will live on with us and never be forgotten. She is now with her family who preceded her.

Mary Diane is preceded in death by her former husband, Jimmy Ray Hayes; her parents, Curtis and Allean Blackmon; her big brothers, Curtis "Sonny", James, Jimmy, and John; her sisters, Ruby and Mary; and nieces, Ruby and Lisa.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her son Marcus; grandson Mountreal; sister Betty; brother Julio; her nieces, Velma Jean Mingo (Lonnie), Sharon Kerr-Lee, Neva Bush (Anthony), Zandra Mendenhall, Kendra McLean (Kyle), Kimberly White, LaToya Kingsby and Jassedy Beene; nephews, James, Charles, and Pierre; and a host of loving relatives and dear friends.
