In the early morning hours on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, thirteen days after she celebrated her seventy-sixth birthday; our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend heard the master's call when He said, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."
She now rests until the return of Jesus Christ with those family members who preceded her in death, which include her: husband, Miles Lee Carter; grandson, Louis "Lil Louis" Carter; siblings. Minnie Theus, Frank Rambo, and Sudie Mae Warren; a daughter-in-law, Shanett Moore-Carter; paternal grandparents, Jessie and Edith Rambo Sr. and her maternal grandparents, Jessie Frank and Minnie Roberson and numerous nieces and nephews.
Maple's life will forever be cherished in the hearts of her faithful and devoted children, Dretta C. Howard of Ringgold, LA, Miles Jerome Carter of Minden, LA, and Keeland Carter of Coushatta, LA, Deborah Carter of Ringgold, LA, and Marcellus Carter of Alexander, AR; twenty grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren all who were the apple of her eye; siblings whom she held a strong bond, Grover Lee "Lil Baby" Coleman of Gisbland, LA, Theotris "Son" Rambo of Houston, TX, Frankie D.
