Lovester's Life Story
Sister Lovester L. Pearson was born to the parentage of the late Deacon Tom Taylor and Ellen Hall in Arcadia, Louisiana on November 28, 1925. She was the epitome of the word Love embedded in he r name.
Lovester was educated in Bienville Parish and later married Tom Pearson. She and her husband were proprietors of a plumbing company for years. They were entrepreneurs during a turbulent time in our history but with the help of the Lord and their personalities, they made it. In addition, she along with her father and mother were charter members of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She was active in a myriad of auxiliaries until her health began to fail.
Lovester had a loving spirit that enabled her to care for a number of her fami ly members during their illnesses. She was angelic and cared for them with an unwavering spirit that pleased Almighty God. Family meant so much to her. It was only surpassed by her love for God.
Sister Pearson was a retiree of the Bienville Parish School Board where she was a Cafeteria Worker providing delectable and nutritious meals to thousands of children over the years.
Sister Pearson was a virtuous wo man who had a heart of gold. She so enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching the community children play in the park and loved to bargain shop for shoes and purses. Her light was indicative of the Proverbs woman and now after almost 95 years, she has joined her late husband, parents, sister, niece and the many others who now are asl eep and await that great getting' up morning. She spent the last few years of her life at the Willow Ridge Nursing Home.
Those left to delight in her afterglow include numerous nephews and nieces incl uding Dexter Ray and James Otis; her Mt. Calvary Church family and her many, many children….You Know Who You Are!
