Lou Anna Jones Collins of Ringgold, LA, earned her heavenly wings on February 15 ^th , 2022.  She was 76 years old.

Mrs. Collins was born on April 11, 1945, to her parents, Bailey and Rosie Mae Jones.  At an early age, she gave her life to Christ. She joined Springhill CME Church, where she worshipped until her death.  Over the years, she served the church faithfully as a Stewardess (Benevolent Fund), as a Sunday School Teacher (Adult Class) and as Assistant Secretary of the church.  Just as she served the church so faithfully, Lou was equally devoted to serving her community, particularly those in need. Lou spent her entire career working as a CNA at Minden Medical Center, where she brought joy and comfort to the lives of the many patients she encountered over the years.

On October 24, 1966, Lou was united in Holy Matrimony to Nathan T. Collins, of Ringgold, LA.  Lou was a devoted wife and loving mother to her three children:  Jerome Collins (Tamara), Ginevra Collins (Robert) and Katrina Guillory (Kevin), and to her stepdaughter, Veronica Venzant (Eugene).  Lou always enjoyed spending time with her family and frequently attended special events with them, such as school ceremonies, birthday celebrations and holidays.

Lou was preceded in death by her beloved parents, and five siblings: Billy Jones, Leroy Jones, Mary Reliford, Evelyn Lott and Dora Jones.  She leaves to cherish her memory and legacy, her husband, 3 children, a stepdaughter, 9 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 4 step great-grandchildren, 1 step great-great grandchild and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
