Obituary

Mr. Lennon "David" Harris was born on November 12, 1941, to the late Charlie and OlaNeal
Harris. He was a member and deacon of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Haynesville, LA. David
attended and graduated from Woodson High School.
Lennon, known by most as "David," was an avid sports fan
who loved football, basketball, and baseball.

David was very passionate about the Haynesville Golden Tornados
and the Dallas Cowboys. He also loved race cars and 18
wheelers, but he held a special love for his 1967 blue Chevy
Cheville. David was always a happy and friendly person, as
well as being a hard worker in the oil field business, at the
Ammunition Plant in Minden, and also the Chemical Plant
in Magnolia, AR. Due to health problems, David retired
from public work and started his own lawn service business.

David was also known as "PawPaw" to the children of the
Haynesville Church of God and Christ, as he loved to visit
with the children on Sundays after church at the nursing
home.

David leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Tressie; sons, Michael Harris (Cynthia), DeNicholas
Harris (Trishna), Ralpheal Harris (Tyiana), Shannon Harris (Rachel), Christopher Harris, Ronnie Wise,
Terry Wise, and George Jones; daughters, Yolanda Harris Davis and Doris Mitchell (Don); grandsons
whom he raised, Javonte Harris (Alexis), Keshawn Harris, Jarnel Harris, and Jalan Harris; David also
leaves to cherish his sisters, Betty Harris and Darlena Jones; brother, Edward Harris (Gerogia); finally,

David leaves to cherish his memory to a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
David's laughter and jokes will truly be missed by his friends and nurses at the Haynesville Heritage
Nursing Home, especially by Sherell Manning.
