Obituary
Mr. John Henry Johnson was born February 4, 1942,
to the parents of the late Bradie and Ivery Mae Johnson. John attended Carrie
Martin High School. He accepted Christ at an early age. Later, he moved
to Dallas, Texas, and started his landscaping business. He married
Margaret Sillimon. To this union, three children were born.

On Wednesday morning, August 30, 2023, at 1:20 AM, John departed this
life at the Willis Knighton Hospital in Shreveport, LA.
Preceding him in death were his mother and father; two sisters, Mercille and
Maggie; three brothers, Bradie Jr., Joe T., and Alvin; and daughter, Vickie
Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memories: five sons, Alvin Johnson of Oregon,
Gordon Johnson of Dallas, TX, Sedrick Spears-Johnson of Dallas, TX, John
Johnson, Jr., of Dallas, TX, and Marquis Woods of Plain Dealing, LA; four
daughters, Alice Marie White of Dallas, TX, Ericka Robinson (Welcome)
of Dallas, TX, LyTonia Johnson Mickens of Opelousas, LA, and Jacqueline
Yarbrough (Loston) of Dallas, TX; sisters, Izolla (Jonnie) Sykes of Muskegon,
MI, Essie (James) Brittentine, and Merdis (Willie) Sheppard of Plain Dealing;
brother, Richard (JoAnn) Johnson of Dallas, TX; grandchildren, Gordon C.
Johnson (Keonta), Shanetta Johnson Hall (Lucas), Kialani Johnson, Ebony
Johnson, and Jeanne Johnson, Jamisha Mickens, Timothy Mickens, Noah
Mickens, Laqunnie and Marquise, and Shawntoyia Johnson (Anthony); and
Mr. John Henry Johnson
a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
