Ida B.
Jacobs
May 6, 1922 – July 5, 2022
Ida B. Jacobs
was born on May 6, 1922,
to the late Walter and Roberta Jacobs.
She was the second child of ten born to
this union. She was affectionately known
to everyone as "Aunt Red" and "Mother
Red."
Ida accepted Christ at a young age and joined the Bethel COGIC.
Later in life, she would move to Denver, CO, and then Los Angeles,
CA, and worked as a housekeeper and nanny.
She was a nanny to Evan
Kramer, Carrie Goodchild, and Tracy Kramer, PD. When her parents
and sister's health begin to fail, she returned back to Louisiana to
care for them. She then reunited with Bethel COGIC and remained
faithful as Church Mother until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one sister, Mary
Blackwell (Thomas) of Denver, CO; one special niece, Sandra
J. Bratton (Paul) of Springhill, LA; a host of nieces, nephews,
and other relatives; and the members of Bethel COGIC.
