Herman Dale
Coleman
July 27, 1950 – October 4, 2024
With hearts of sorrow, The Memorial Funeral Home Staff requests your prayers for the family and friends of
Mr. Herman Dale Coleman.
Herman Dale Coleman, 74, long term resident of Cotton Valley, LA, passed away on
October 4, 2024.
Herman was born on July 27, 1950 to Purnell Woodrow (PW) Coleman and Mavis Louise
Hamontree Coleman in Springhill, LA.
Herman was a hard-working man whose tireless dedication to his family and career
defined his life. As a devoted husband, he cherished his partnership with his "bride",
supporting her in every endeavor and sharing in the joys and challenges of life together. As
a loving father, he instilled strong values in his children, always encouraging them to
pursue their dreams while providing unwavering support and guidance. As a grandfather,
he delighted in spending time with his grandchildren, sharing stories, wisdom, and
laughter, leaving an immense impact on their lives. Herman's sense of humor was
something he has always been known for and as he would say, "Life is too short to be
serious all the time". When asked how he was, he would always reply "Just Peachy". He
will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Herman was preceded in joining the Lord by: Mother and Father, Purnell Woodrow and
