Henry L. Wimberly , also known as Hunell, was born September 2, 1936, to the union of the late George Wimberly and Francis Lard-Wimberly. At an early age, he confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior with St. Mary Baptist Church of Shady Grove, LA.

He would later unite with the late Ruby Patterson-Wimberly where six children of love and three children were created from this union.

He was well-known for his quick wits, infectious smile and compassionate spirit. His best qualities were being a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to anyone that needed a helping hand. Through the years, he would acquire a love for driving trucks to earn the name 'Hunchie Love'.

Henry passed away peacefully on September 1, 2018.

He was preceded in death by: mother, Francis Wimberly; stepfather, George Wimberly; father, Johnny Cooper; spouse, Ruby Wimberly; and fourteen siblings, Wilson, Ruth, Jessie, Curtis, Mary, Len, Matheo, Ross, Percy, Albert, Leroy, Lela, Amos and F.C.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Lionel (Corey) Lard of Winnfield, LA, and Jerry Lard of Lucky, LA; two daughters, Stephanie Lard of Lucky, LA, and Ida Faye Walter of Ruston, LA; one sister, Maggie (Hertis) Turner of Friendship, LA; one sister-in-law, Ferdella Jackson of Lucky, LA; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
