Harvey Henderson was born on July 17, 1931, to Booker T. and Lula Henderson in
Homer. He was preceded in death by four sisters and six brothers, Dorothy Jean Henderson,
Johnny Henderson, Annie Mae Henderson, A. C. Henderson, Herbert Henderson, Roberta
Henderson, and Johnny Webb.
He joined Mt. Olive Baptist Church at a young age. Harvey enjoyed hauling wood and
working in the forest. He enjoyed his family gathering playing spades and dominoes.
Those remaining to cherish the many memories include his sister, Mary Smith; daughter,
Doris McLaurin; grandchildren, Arolando (Tasheba) Morris and Shakenya McLaurin;
great-grands, Jalen Morris, Devin Morris, Shamar Sulton, Jordyn Morris, Daylen Clark,
and Xavier Morris, all of Columbia, South Carolina; along with nieces, newphews, and
other family and friends.
