OBITUARY
Life's race well run; life's work well done. Life's crown well won, and now he is at rest.
To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under the heaven.

A TIME TO BE BORN
Brother Guy Walker, Jr, affectionately called "Gleek," was born to the late Codetha Bedford Walker and Guy Walker, Sr. on August 14, 1952. He was the oldest of four children.
A TIME TO PLANT
Bro. Guy accepted Christ at an early age at the Mt. Dillard C.M.E. Church. He later united with the Center Springs C.M.E. Church. Bro Guy Walker resided in the Center Springs community where he was known for his kind service. He helped everybody. If someone needed something done Guy was the one to go to.
A TIME TO BUILD UP
Bro. Guy's commitment to mankind was to make life better. He was a faithful, devoted, dedicated member of the Center Springs C.M.E. Church family until his death. He served as President of the Steward board, Vice President of the Trustee board, church custodian, Director of Christian Education, Sunday School Superintendent, and Lay member. He was inducted into the C.M.E. Church Hall of Fame on June 11, 2022. He had no reservations about enlightening others about the mystery of God's grace in Christ. He was eager to point out that God is able to do exceeding and abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us (Ephesians 3:20). Guy was a board member for Middlefork Water System and Claiborne Parish Fire District #6. He served with the Claiborne Parish Fire District #6 for over 32 years. He was a member of Men in Action Inc.
Brother Guy enjoyed the outdoors. He loved manicuring lawns, maintaining his lawn equipment (even washing them), and gardening. He was a graduate of Mayfield High School Class of 1970. His employment included the box factory, Louisiana Ammunition Plant, Homer Hospital, Nelson Electric, David Wade Correctional Center, Wal-Mart, and the Boys & Girls Club.
Guy was a great provider for his family and he would not let anything deter him. When he had the interview for David Wade Correctional Center, he had car problems. He left the car and started walking until a good Samaritan picked him up, took him to the interview, and waited for him. He got the job and served 30 years as a correctional officer.
