Obituary

With hearts of sorrow, The Memorial Funeral Home Staff requests your prayers for the family and friends of

Mrs. Eula Beatrice Daniel

Eula Beatrice Martin Daniel, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, was born May 19, 1935, to the late Willie and Emma Lou Brown Martin in Haynesville, Louisiana.

The fifth of eight children, she was reared surrounded by a loving family in a community she adored. She is preceded in death by her parents, late husband, L.C. Daniel, brothers: Jonathan Martin, Willie Dee Martin, Cleotis Martin, and Marcellus Martin; brothers-in-law: Detroit Buggs, Sr. and Elroy Mack; sisters-in-law, Mattie Bea Martin and sons-in-law, Robert Beene and Deon Wynnell Glover.

Eula's life was anchored from her early years in life – she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with the Shiloh Freewill Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board. She continued to serve her Lord and His people under the leadership of Pastor Richard Jones at Hatter Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Her comforting, warm, motherly nature coupled with her Godly wisdom were magnetic. Not only were people drawn to her great hugs, bright smiles, and mother wit, but to the God that she adored immensely. She remained a faithful member and Mother of the Church until her health failed and she was called home.

Eula attended and graduated from Woodson High School in 1955. Following graduation, she began her first career working at Haynesville General Hospital, serving and giving exceptional care, like only she could. Years later, she took her leadership skills to the ammunition plant in Minden, then Ansell Edmont for 30 years. Before retiring, she returned to her first love, patient care at Heritage Manor as a dietician.

Though she found joy in her careers nothing made her prouder than becoming a mother to her daughters Vivian and Rebecca and being called grandmother.

When she was not spending time spreading extra love to her grandchildren and spending time with her family and friends, she enjoyed talking on the phone with her family, watching The Young and the Restless, Let's Make a Deal, and working on her puzzle books. She found a new pastime going to the Gilmore House crafting and playing games and continued to do so until her health failed.

Eula made an impact in the lives of those she crossed paths with, leaving them with peace, wisdom and encouragement. She leaves a legacy worthy of honor and respect. Remaining to cherish this beautiful soul are her daughters Vivian Diane Beene of Corpus Christi, Texas and Rebecca Gayle Glover of Haynesville, LA; grandchildren: Robert DeSean Beene, Christopher Beene, Richard L. Jones, Jr. and Daijah Glover; great grandchildren: Sierra, Jaden, Davian, Jameiah, Kierston, Kayden, Kadean, Kysen, Kyng, and Kansas; siblings Ethel Mae Buggs of San Diego, California, Doris Jean Mack of Jackson, Tennessee, Annie Vera  Coggins (Roy) of St. Louis, Missouri; special daughter Nancy James, special grandson, Ardarius James; special cousin Loretta White, special friends Daisy Brown and Dorothy Gilmore; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, church family and friends.
