On April 8, 1945, announced the birth of a strikingly extraordinary woman Essie Tell Williams, daughter of the late L.G. Tell and Lucy Hill. At a young age, Essie accepted Christ and was an active member of church. She sang in the church choir as a young lady and for many of years at her church in Houston, Texas.
During her years at Woodson High School, Essie was outgoing and very popular. She loved to attend football games and go to the movies with friends and family. She graduated high school in 1965, then in 1967, Essie, married the love of her life Albert Williams and shortly moved to Houston, Texas to build a life and start a family. She started her work career at Del Oro hospital in Houston, Texas in 1975. She held several positions until she retired in 2010. During her free time, she enjoyed hosting parties, dancing, playing cards, going to the casino, and traveling to visit her family.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lucy Hill, father L.G. Tell, her husband Albert Williams, one sister Bessie Lee Kingsley, five brothers L.Z. Tell, Hosie, Tell, Lonnie Lester Tell, Johnny Tell, and Charles Lester Tell.
She leaves to cherish her memories her loving and devoted children, one son Lorenzo Williams of Houston, Texas: two daughters Shonta Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas and Felicia Williams- Cooper (Wayne) of Houston, Texas: one grandson Dairon Peacock (Jessica) of Iowa Colony, Texas: two grandchildren Mason Peacock and Mila Peacock of Iowa Colony, Texas: three brothers Robert Tell of Houston, Texas: O.Z. Tell (Exrie) of Homer, LA: Lonnie Lee Tell (Jessie Mae) of Haynesville LA. Two God children Richard Thompson of Houston, Texas and Monica Thompson of Houston, Texas: and a host of sisters-in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and close friends.
