Obituary

Ella Louise Taylor Rice was born June
18, 1944 in Cullen, Louisiana to the late
Myrtle lee Taylor and Lloyd Manning.
The eldest of five children, she attended grade
school at Cullen Elementary and Charles
Brown High School. She is preceded in
death by her brother, Jerry Wayne Watts and
grandson, Zerrick Dewayne Watts.
As a young girl, she dedicated her life to Christ at First Baptist
Church of Cullen. She continued her walk and relationship
with Christ in her adult life, and faithfully attended House
of Prayer in Dallas, Texas, until her health began to fail.
The mother of six married her high school sweetheart, Roylee
Aubrey, in ____________________. Four children were
born to this union. Later in life, she met, then married, Otis
Rice and they welcomed one daughter into their family.
Ella lived a joyful and peaceful life and lived as if unto
God daily. She carried the light of Christ with her even as
an employee of Dallas County School District where she
worked for ______ years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed cheering on the Dallas
Cowboys, watching Judge Judy, and eating her favorite meal
of greens and cornbread.
This loving family woman leaves to cherish the many fond
memories: her family and friends, including children:
Veronica Preston (Shan), Miranda Jenkins, (Ran) Tiki
Aubrey, Rejeal Aubrey (Undre), Yosheka Aubrey, and Patrick
Zigler; siblings, Johnny Lee Watts (Juanita), Cleotis Watts,
and Dorothy Watts; nine grandchildren, Aisha Bursey
(Thomas), Wendell Aubrey, Keldrick Aubrey, LeDarion
Giddings, Jr., LeKayla Giddings, Jamarion Giddings,
Demetris Watts, Darrell Jenkins and Kevin Smith; twelve
great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; and a
wealth of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
