Brother Charles Ray Palmer was born on December 16, 1945, to the late Ewell and Willie Mae Palmer. He grew in Cullen, Louisiana.

He joined Evening Star CME at an early age and remained a member until his death.

Charles Ray attended school in Webster Parish and graduated from Charles H. Brown High School in 1964. He was an awesome football player.

After graduation, he joined the US Army and received a purple heart and an honorable discharge.

Charles Ray loved fishing.

Preceded him in death were: his parents, two brothers, Jerry and Perry Palmer, sister, Gertha J. Wilson, and other relatives.

He leaves to cherish his memories:  wife, Donna McKay-Palmer; sister, Billie Maxey; 1 stepson, 2 step-daughters; 1 special daughter (Mahaelee); 1 special granddaughter (Serenity);  Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, other relatives, and friends.
