Calvin Ford was born to Carrie Dell Ford on April 8, 1961.  Calvin accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Calvin graduated from Alma J. Brown Laboratory School in 1979.  After graduation, he attended Grambling State University.  He loved the game of baseball, he played with the  Liberty Hill Dodgers. He worked for T.L. James before relocating to Baltimore, Maryland.  While in Baltimore he worked for Central Transport for 17 years.  He later returned to Ruston.

Calvin was preceded in death by his mother Carrie Ford.  He leaves to cherish his memories:  daughter, ShaDonna Moses of Ruston, LA, five sisters, Ida Brooks of Laurel, MD, Vera Goree, Wanda Ford, Zorana Ford of Ruston, LA, Takeisha Ford of Little Elm, TX; grandchildren, Destinee and September and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
