Shannon Keith Boyd Sr was born September 11, 1969 to Olla Mae Boyd- Minton and Herbert McCauley Sr. He was preceded in death by his mother, Olla Mae Boyd-Minton and his father, Herbert McCauley Sr. Shannon attended Plain Dealing High School and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Springhill, LA.

Shannon was employed with Tucker Lumber Company in Taylor, Arkansas. His hobbies included fishing, playing pool, cooking, dancing, and spend time with his family and friends.

Shannon is survived by his wife, Debra LaShay Boyd of Springhill, LA; his children, Cartrez Burns of Shreveport, LA; daughter, LaJasmine Boyd; son, Shannon Boyd Jr; daughter, Tamia Boyd; and daughter, Hannah Boyd all of Springhill, LA; brother, Garland (Joyce) McCauley of Plain Dealing, brother, Herbert Terrance Jr (Esther) McCauley of Plain Dealing, LA; sister, Bridget (Jerry) Scott of Las Vegas, NV; sister, LaFonda (Bobby) Fuller of Benton, LA; brother, Barron Boyd of Arlington TX; and brother, Scotty Boyd of Benton, LA; 5 grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
