Betty Jean Webb Jackson, a blessed servant of God, was touched by God's Heavenly Angel and went to a very peaceful rest at 3:28 p.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and her loving husband, Reverend Yuey Dean (Y. D.) Jackson.
Betty Webb Jackson was born to Milton Webb,Sr. and Eura Dell Jenkins Webb on August 22, 1943 in Claiborne Parish (Homer, LA) and later moved to Grambling, LA (Lincoln Parish).
Secularly, Betty was blessed with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Grambling State University and a Masters Degree from Louisiana Tech University. She was licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Louisiana, held a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the National Board of Examiners of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. She received the Fellow Award and the Honor Award (highest honor) from the Louisiana-Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Religiously, Betty earned both Bachelor and Master Degrees in Religious Education from the United Theological Seminary and Bible College in Monroe, LA. She was additionally awarded an Honorary Doctorate from this school; she also served many years as a part-time instructor for the seminary.
Until her retirement in 2010 from Grambling State University, she served as the Director of the Speech and Hearing Clinic and a Public Speaking Professor, which were both housed in the Theater Department at the University. She was an active member of the China Grove Missionary Baptist Church, which is pastored by Rev. Damian Wilson. She loved her church family and enjoyed working with special programs.

Until her death, Betty held the office of President of the Interdenominational Alliance of Ministers' Wives.
Betty's favorite work was Evangelism. She lived daily by Matthew 6:33 and Colossians 3:2, which has truly accounted for her life story. She strongly believed and modeled her life after the following quotation, "What I am is God's gift to me, and what I become will be my gift to God."
Besides being devoted to God, Betty diligently loved and adored her family. Always cherishing her memory will be her loving son: Michael L.
