Obituary

Alicestein D'Andrea Woods, a woman with a glad heart and beautiful face, was born November 18, 1980, to Jacqueline Woods and Carlton Burrell in Bellflower, California, and was reared in a loving home by Jackie and Kerby Jackson in Plain Dealing, Louisiana.

It was evident in her early years that Alicestein was not the average young lady. Her bubbling personality and smile were infectious, bringing a unique and welcoming joy to those that entered her presence.  That joy, radiating from the inside out, was proof of her foundation being in Christ. She accepted Christ at an early age, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Plain Dealing, Louisiana.
She attended school in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. After high school, she blossomed into a flourishing woman, wife and later becoming a mother. She married Phillip Bonapart. To this union, four children were reared.  Spending time with her immediate family was always a priority and something she looked forward to on a regular basis.  Believing in family above all, she enjoyed every holiday that came around. The life of any occasion, she loved to listen to old school and hip-hop music while spending time with her loving family. Alice took being a mother seriously, as she took great care of her four children well. She spent a portion of her life gracefully caring for her son Dontell.  He preceded her in death, giving her a guardian angel through the remainder of her life.

During her quiet time, she loved spending alone time with God, listening to gospel music.

Alice loved life and those that were a part of hers. As much love and happiness she poured out, she received it back full circle; she was loved by all that knew her. Known for her kind heart and infectious laugh, she believed in helping anyone, no matter who they were. Never meeting a stranger, those that encountered her, would always leave with a smile, a good laugh and extra doses of joy. That million dollar smile was never fake nor forced; it was effortless, lighting up a room or any space she occupied.  Above all she loved to make others laugh. One of her favorite words was "boot mouth". Once she said that, you knew something comical was coming behind it.

The joyful mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, and friend gave so much love and joy in the 42 years she was granted to those of us on this earth. She leaves behind to cherish her memories and continue the legacy of love: three children: Jaylyn (Ja'Melia) Woods of Bossier City, LA, Phillip Woods of Plain Dealing, LA and Ciara Bonapart of Springhill, Louisiana; grandchildren: Jaidyn "Jojo", Woods, Sa'Nasia "Nae Nae" Lewis, Khylin "Khy Khy" Bonapart and Carter Woods; her parents Jacqueline and Kerby Jackson of Plain Dealing, LA and Carlton (Angie), Burrell of Compton, California; a loving grandmother, Rose Burrell of Compton, California; sisters: Lasheena Woods of Springhill, LA, Ke'ahna "Keke" Marie of Compton, CA; brothers: Kirby S Jackson, Jr. (Sharkayla) of Plain Dealing, LA, Carlton Burnell (CJ) of Compton, CA and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
