Obituary

Albert Ray Shyne was born on December 31, 1947,
in Claiborne Parish. He was the oldest child born to the union of
Andrew Shine and Effie Corbin. Albert was reared in and around
Lincoln and Claiborne Parishes and attended his formative years
of school in the same areas.
In 1968, Albert married Jessie Pearl Sumlin in Homer, Louisiana.
Three children were born to this union, Valencia, Kendra, and
Evita Shyne. While providing for his family in Louisiana, Albert
worked in the wood industry. He also had a passion for working
on vehicles and small engines. He excelled in this trade and was
often called upon to use his mechanical skills to serve others.
In 1980, he relocated his family to Houston, Texas, and remained
in Houston until God called him from labor to reward. Albert
worked at several companies during his 39 years of residency in
Houston. However, he retired from Daniel Measurement and
Control, a division of Emerson Electric, in 2013.
Albert was preceded in death by his father, Andrew, and his eldest
daughter, Valencia. He leaves behind his wife, Jessie; two devoted
daughters, Kendra and Evita; his mother, Ms. Effie Corbin Lewis,
of Houston, TX; and six siblings, Louis T. Shine (Annie), of Homer,
LA, Trois, Jimmie (Carolyn), Shirley, Vernell Wallace (Greg), and
Vickie Muse (Rodney), all of Houston, TX. More precious than
gold are his three grandchildren, Derek LaRae Elzie, Kylan Jai
Laster and Trinity Jones. Albert also leaves to mourn a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Obituary
